Apply for Sponsorship
At Warwick Gympie Dalby Credit Union, we are committed to making a real difference in the lives of our customers and the communities where they live. We have been here for 50 over years, and each year we sponsor hundreds of clubs and provide marquee hire and EFTPOS facilities to hundreds of local organisations. In addition to this we believe that sourcing quality products and services is of high importance, which is why the bulk of our operational spending is on products and services from local businesses.
One of the most valuable ways we support our communities is through provision of financial assistance to community organisations by way of sponsorships.
If you are interested in acquiring sponsorship for your organisation, please complete our Sponsorship Application Form and submit it by visiting your local branch or by emailing to [email protected].
The events we sponsor include, but are not limited to, the following;
Warwick Credit Union Warwick Cup
Each year in October, the Warwick Credit Union Warwick Cup is held at the Warwick Turf Club – one of the oldest in the Queensland. The first Warwick Cup even predates the Melbourne Cup, with the first being held in 1860.
2019 Polocrosse World Cup
Players from eight countries – Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, USA, UK, Ireland, Zambia and Zimbabwe – were brought to Warwick for the Adina Polocrosse World Cup in April 2019. Tens of thousands of spectators visited to help celebrate 80 years of polocrosse during the 7 day event, bringing in massive amounts of revenue to our community.
Jumpers and Jazz in July
The Credit Union has contributed to the Jumpers and Jazz in July annual event since its inauguration in 2004. Created to increase local participation in the arts, Jumper and Jazz has been a boost to the economy, bringing much needed tourism to our region during what would otherwise be a quiet period of the year.
Show and Rodeo Society Events
The Credit Union sponsors various local Show and Rodeo events each year in the majority of our branch locations. We believe these events are a big part of our local identity, especially the Warwick Rodeo – known far and wide as “Australia’s Most Famous” rodeo. On the last full weekend of October every year, the nation’s top riders gather for the rodeo bringing in excess of 30,000 people to our town, a massive boost to the local economy.
